Hodgson Vocational-Technical High School promotes a school-wide effort to have all students comprehend and apply content as indicated by performance on career program certifications as well as state and district assessments.
Greetings Hodgson Family, Friends, Prospective Students, and Visitors,
I am proud to be the principal at Hodgson Vocational Technical High School, leading our Silver Eagles team!
Hodgson Vo-Tech has a rich history of academic success and student achievement. Our students are fortunate to have talented, dedicated and caring faculty members who are committed to helping every student succeed. Our mission is to provide students with the academic and career experiences in a diverse and equitable environment to ensure that they are College and Career Ready.
I became principal in July 2020, but I have served in our school district since 2002 as a teacher or an assistant principal at three of our four New Castle County Vo-Tech high schools. I began as a social studies teacher at Delcastle after teaching three years in the Colonial School District. During my eight years at Delcastle, I served as the social studies department chair, an assistant field hockey coach, and a Future Educators of America advisor. I was then named an assistant principal at St. Georges in 2010, where I served for three years before coming to Hodgson as an assistant principal in 2013.
I completed my undergraduate work at Frostburg State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education. I received my Masters in Instruction: Teaching and Learning from Wilmington College, and completed my Doctoral degree in School Leadership at the University of Delaware.
Every day I treasure working with our amazing Silver Eagle students and staff in all aspects of the rich and meaningful high school experience. Please enjoy your visit to our website and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
