Hodgson Culinary Arts is the winner of the First State BBQ Competition!

The inaugural First State BBQ Competition featured lots of finger-lickin’ Mountaire chicken, as students from Delaware Technical High Schools and special guests from the Delaware National Guard faced off. Teams competed in four categories and awards were given for best sauce, wings, thighs, and fabrication. Thank you to the team at Polytech High School for hosting and coordinating this event. Special thanks to Chef Chris and Chef Scott for making this competition possible. Congratulations to Paul M Hodgson Vocational Technical High School who finished as the overall winner with the most total points! The first and second place teams finished within less than a point of each other. While there could only be one champ, each team turned in BBQ that the judges could not get enough of. We are proud to support the culinary arts and look forward to more BBQ next year!
